Children in care are often transferred to different schools, and disruptions like these make it harder to do well in academic settings. Foster youth high school dropout rates are 3 times higher than other low-income children.
Our goal is to change those statistics, to give them educational support others were born with. To do so, our long-term tutors meet regularly with foster kids around the Bay, remotely and in-person. We plan on hosting workshops and work as advocates and help raise funds to support these children on their path to a bright future.
