Our Partners

Founded here in the City of Berkeley, our parent organization A Better Way “is a San Francisco Bay Area 501(c)(3) nonprofit that empowers children and families to develop the insights, life skills, and permanent relationships that promote their social, emotional, and economic well-being.”

Soar for Youth, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was established in 2009 to provide high-quality support, opportunities, and rapport that Foster Youth would have otherwise received from their parents.

The mission of Alternative Family Services is to support vulnerable children and families in need of stability, safety and wellbeing in their communities. Since 1978, AFS has been providing foster care services since to approximately 1500, youth and their families throughout the Bay Area and Greater Sacramento Region. AFS is committed to helping children and youth in foster care by providing critical needs and resources.

School on Wheels volunteers provide free tutoring and mentoring to children from kindergarten through twelfth grade living in shelters, motels, vehicles, group foster homes, and the streets of Southern California.

We are a student group acting independently of the University of California. We take full responsibility for our organization and this website.
